Over the weekend, the National Geographic Channel used 300 weather balloons to lift an 18 foot tall replica of the house from "Up" 10,000 feet over a private airstrip east of Los Angeles. My Modern Met says "a team of scientists, engineers, and two world-class balloon pilots...set a new world record for the largest balloon cluster flight ever attempted," and of course the whole thing was filmed for an upcoming TV show.
