We've long been staring at the same rendering of SPF:architects designs for the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, rising on North Canon Drive in Beverly Hills. But via the Los Angeles Times, a fresh look. Parking lot construction is underway on the project, but actual construction will start next month. Via the LA Times: "The Annenberg Center will offer performances of 'theater, music, dance, small operas and professional children's theater,' says Executive Director Lou Moore, founding managing director of the Geffen Playhouse. 'Coupled with that, we're going to have a children's theater school for serious-minded children,' including residencies in which students work with visiting artists." The project also takes advantage of the existing post office.
