Last week, the James Beard Foundation unveiled the list of final nominees for their 2011 awards. Among the three contenders competing for the award of outstanding restaurant design (for establishments designed or renovated in North America since January 1, 2008) is Silver Lake's Bestor Architecture. The firm, led by principal Barbara Bestor, is on the short list for their revamp of Pitfire Pizza in Culver City. Winners will be announced on May 11.
