LACMA's new eatery, Ray's, and drinkery, Stark Bar, are both open as of Monday, and building-wise, that's pretty much all starchitect Renzo Piano wrote for the museum campus. (The LACMA West renovation fell under his plan, but the design work is being done by SPF:a and any construction there is on hold anyway.) The final red and travertine tally is one BP Pavilion, one Broad Contemporary Art Museum, one Resnick Pavilion, and one restaurant and bar combo, with a Robert Irwin-designed palm tree installation and walkways and benches throughout. The only thing missing is a giant train hanging off a crane.
