A poster on the Urban Art Association forum writes that Banksy's big billboard tag at Sunset and Laurel was in fact officially sanctioned: "The company that was advertising on the billboard is owned by the same guy that helped finance [Banksy's movie "Exit Through the Gift Shop"]. The billboard was put up with the sole purpose for Banksy to tag it. The billboard is now framed and is hanging in that gentlemen's office." Another poster dubs it "brandalism."
