One-Bedroom in Historic Miracle Mile Complex

New, 41 comments

If you're a "quiet person who would appreciate living in a historical building," may we direct your attention to this Craigslist posting for a one-bedroom unit currently available in an apartment complex at 407 S. Burnside Avenue, just down the street from the El Rey theater. Built in 1932, the Gothic-influenced building is one of four vintage complexes on the block to be designated Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monuments. Per the listing, the apartment up for grabs overlooks a "lovely courtyard," and features "hardwood floors, art deco designs and fixtures, tiled bathroom, ample closet space and large living room area." In the negative column, a parking space is not included; instead the ad points us to a lot at the corner of Wilshire and 6th with "secure and covered parking for $100 a month." Monthly rent is $1,650.
