LA resident John Bernard Kihm III slapped Beverly Hills with a $100 million lawsuit over a parking ticket, reports the Beverly Hills Courier. Before you judge, hear his side: Kihm has a handicapped parking placard that he says is impossible to hang from his mirror so he tapes it to his windshield. After getting a ticket at a meter--handicapped placards typically mean you need not pay at parking meters--he was cited for not having the placard hanging from his mirror. When Kihm brought up the matter with the meter maid, the attendant said his supervisor told him merchants complain about the free parking and as a result they should use any "technicality whatsoever" to issue tickets. No court date has yet been announced. [BH Courier, PDF print version]
