Gensler may be leaving Santa Monica for downtown, but the beachside city is doing just fine when it comes to filling commercial space, according to the Wall Street Journal, which reports that "Santa Monica's office-vacancy rate fell to 11.5% in the fourth quarter [2010], from 14.3% in the same period a year earlier, while vacancies for overall Los Angeles County remained at a recessionary peak of 17%...." According to the WSJ, entertainment companies are increasingly headed to Santa Monica. [WSJ]
