The battle over noise and airplanes continues into 2011. Citing noise complaints, three state assemblymen introduced legislation that could ban night-time flights at Burbank and Van Nuys airports. If passed, Bob Hope and Van Nuys would have curfews that cut off flights at 10 p.m., and planes couldn't take off until 7 a.m., according to the Associated Press via the San Jose Mercury-News. The FAA has previously denied the airports' own requests for a curfew, citing airspace congestion and flight delays. [Mercury-News]
