The Community Redevelopment Agency, facing a possible Jerry Brown-imposed Armageddon, is making some preemptive decisions. Via atwatervillagenow, the CRA is “postponing further activities in the NELA River Corridor Study Area until further notice,” according to an email they sent out. The NELA project proposes streetscape projects, home improvement, and small business assistance programs once an environmental assessment is conducted—the plan met resistance from locals who didn’t see their neighborhood as blighted and in need of assistance.
