The disappointment is thick in a story from the North Hollywood-Toluca Lake Patch describing how a 24 Hour Fitness will be taking over the space of the former HOWS grocery store in the NoHo Commons shopping center (adjacent to the NoHo Commons lofts and apartments). Locals like Bill White told Patch “another grocer would have been good”—the neighborhood is filling up with lots of housing but the only nearby grocery store is in an uninviting, crowded strip mall.
