Elizabeth Daniels It only took a year and half, but after much coaxing, developer Related Cos finally allowed us to photograph their Century condo tower in Century City. A hybrid between a typical SoCal gated community (there are actual gates, and a security guard planted at the driveway entrance) and an urban luxury tower, the Robert AM Stern-designed building finished last year and is now about 30 percent sold, according to the sales staff. This photo set shows the common area: the lobbies, the garden, dog park, and yes, the Century-branded towels in the gym. And hey, CAA agents: A restaurant is planned behind the building (no word yet on what's coming.) And the large lawn in the back--perhaps you'll ask Candy if she wants to join in a game of croquet?--is being touted as an amenity that sets the project apart from other luxury towers like The Residences at the Ritz-Carlton and the Carlyle on Wilshire. Photos of the actual units to come!
