This 1906 Craftsman near Caltech last changed hands just two months ago, when it was sold in a foreclosure auction for $669,500. From its listing, the five-bedroom, two-bath home seems to have been well-preserved, featuring "original hardware... built-in bookcases, Grueby Faience tiled fireplace...pocket doors, built-in sideboard, wainscoting, an original gas/electric wall sconce...and original cabinets." But the 3,333-square-foot property does look like it's received a few new coats of paint recently, to go along with its splashy new price: $899,000.
