USC Student Attempts the Impossible

New, 10 comments

In the war against billboard proliferation, locals have pounded the pavement to take an inventory of the giant ads in their neighborhoods to show where the boards appear. Now, USC geography student Elisabeth Sedano has launched a new billboard database as her dissertation project. “The Billboard Map web site allows members of the public to input and store the location of billboards in the Los Angeles area,” Sedano writes on the site. It's easy to track billboards already tagged on the map, but takes some finesse to tag them yourself. [Curbed InBox]
