The Daily News reports the draft environmental impact statement for the The Village at Westfield Topanga, which will have a not-always-well-received-by-the-public Costco, is out. Via the News: "Though the 1 million-square-foot project eventually would include shops, restaurants, community space, an office structure and a 275-room hotel, scrutiny by community activists has focused on the Costco - with a gas station and tire store - that would go at the corner of Victory Boulevard and Owensmouth Avenue." The News also reports that Westfield officials say this will be "one of the nicest-looking Costcos anybody has ever seen." Check out the rendering of the Costco on the News' website.
