The Beverly Hills Patch reports that Beverly Hills' school district decided on Wednesday to set aside $400,000, on top of $100,000 already allocated, to fight a subway station at Constellation and Avenue of the Stars in Century City (they don't want tunneling under their school, which such a station would require). Should Metro choose a Santa Monica Blvd. station, that money can be used for educational purposes instead of lobbying and lawyers, the Patch reports: "Any money saved could help them fill an anticipated $1.7 million shortfall in funding for the next fiscal year."
