It's a big day for signs in the Southland. Down in Long Beach, the city council voted to allow electronic billboards "near freeways, regional corridors and major arterial streets, including Long Beach Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue," reports the Press-Telegram. Meanwhile, Glendale's city council voted to lift a 50 year ban on sidewalk signs--any ground floor business in the city's five business districts can have one 48 by 30 inch A-frame. [PT/GNP]
