Well, according to a list from the Downtown News, just two. But the newspaper is talking about large-scale projects like the Broad Museum (pictured) and Chinatown's Gateway mixed-use (the lucky two projects). There certainly were plenty of proposals and early movement on developments--e.g., Wilshire Grand 2.0, Hall of Justice renovations, the streetcar, a pair of Marriott twins, Metro's acquisition of Union Station, etc.--but as far as dirt moving, it was slow going.
