Interactive Map Shows All of LA's Current and Future Bikeways

New, 3 comments

Did you think the LA Department of Transportation wasn't going to get you anything this year? Well, they've come through with an interactive map of Los Angeles bike infrastructure--you can select to view just bike paths, lanes, and/or routes, or the rather less helpful sharrows. And, for the dreamers in the crowd, you can also click to see the 1,684 miles of future bikeways called for in the city's Bike Plan, which passed earlier this year. You can also type in a specific address or zoom in on a neighborhood to check out what's available wherever you're headed (it's powered by Google Maps). The LADOT Bike Blog says "We’ll be updating this map on a regular basis to ensure that it reflects our most current, up-to-date bikeway facility inventory."
