It's the new trend: failed boom time market-rate housing projects going senior affordable. Eastsider LA reports that Boyle Heights's extremely creepy Linda Vista Hospital has been sold to an affordable housing developer who, starting in February, plans to renovate the nurses' residence and main hospital into 98 apartments. They'll also put in very appropriate groundfloor medical offices. There were once plans to turn the Linda Vista into 151 live/work condos called the Buena Vista Lofts. [Eastsider LA, image via d_rod]
