The LA Department of Transportation has started providing info to Google, which means that DASH and Commuter Express now show up in Google Maps route planning. With Metro, Metrolink, Big Blue Bus, Foothill Transit, and tons of other local transit services already in Google, that means transit trip planning just got that much easier. As KCET puts it: "Without a central data hub, planning a trip from, let's say, a far flung area of Orange County to downtown L.A. could mean visiting a number of transit websites to check schedules."
