Yesterday the Department of Transportation released its list of recipients of Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery funds, notes the Downtown News. A streetcar received $11 million, but it was Cincinnati's, not the one proposed for Downtown LA, that landed the cash. For the second time in two years, TIGER passed up a funding request for the proposed South Park to Bunker Hill streetcar. To be fair, there were 848 TIGER applications and only 46 recipients. [DN]
