Earlier this week, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said there would be no NFL team in Los Angeles for the 2012 season, and that he wants football to come to LA "in a successful way, and that requires a stadium." Now Downtown NFL stadium developer AEG responds, saying they'll keep working toward having a stadium open by 2016 (they had hoped to have a team here ahead of the opening). City Councilmember Jan Perry thinks "This may be a negotiating tactic between the AEG and the NFL." [LADN]
