Next Great LA Bike Street: Chandler

Chandler Blvd. in the Valley is turning into quite the cyclist's paradise, the LADOT Bike Blog reports. A new project "will extend the existing Chandler Blvd. Orange Line bike lanes for approximately one mile, creating a continuous 4.8 mile east-west facility between Van Nuys Blvd. and Vineland Ave. (2.7 miles from Vineland Ave. to Leghorn St. and 1.2 miles from Van Nuys Blvd. to Woodman Ave.)." This new addition, expected to be installed this weekend, will bring the street's bike lane total to 7.6 miles, with connections to the subway, the Orange Line, and lots of major streets.
