Victims of the Wind: A Lamborghini in Eagle Rock, Historic Tree in Los Feliz, Americana Christmas

New, 41 comments

EAGLE ROCK: Who knows what a Lamborghini was doing parked on the street in Eagle Rock, but reasons aside, it's fallen victim to those cruel Santa Anas that have been whipping through over the past day. That's gotta hurt. [Curbed Inbox]

LOS FELIZ: The wind also knocked down two old deodar cedar trees on Los Feliz Boulevard--they were from a group of about 200 that were planted in 1935 and have landmark status. [Zev Yaroslavsky]

GLENDALE: Man, these trees are really not handling this wind well. The top 20 feet of the Americana at Brand's 100 foot Christmas tree was damaged last night, and developer Caruso Affiliated put out a press release today reassuring everyone that "The team from Victor’s Custom Christmas Trees is already onsite planning and implementing repairs to re-anchor and restore the Christmas tree. The work will begin today and continue over the next couple of days to complete the restoration." According to Victor, they'll be installing steel reinforcements to reattach the treetop.
