BRENTWOOD: It was already a shitshow on the Westside today due to an Occupy Wilshire event and this is also the first night of closures for the demolition of the northern half of the Sunset Blvd. bridge that crosses Sepulveda. "Sepulveda Boulevard will be closed for approximately one-quarter mile between Montana Avenue and Church Lane as early as 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. three nights, requiring motorist detours," Metro says in a release. "Work will be followed by abutment demolition on the eastside of the bridge starting on Thursday, November 17 through November 22." Click here for detour info. The good news, kinda, is that Sunset will remain open in one lane in each direction. [Curbed Inbox]
LOS ANGELES: Friday is Veterans Day and if you're one of the lucky ones, you have the day off in honor of our guys and gals. If not, Metro will be running on a regular weekday schedule, i.e. all the buses and trains. [Curbed Inbox]
