A Farm Sprouts in WeHo, Downtown Gets Crepey, Chocolate Bar in Venice, Eater's Chinese Food Week

WEST HOLLYWOOD: A Mendocino Farms sandwich/salad shop opened today near the Santa Monica Blvd. Target. This is the fourth location for the mini-chain and the design looks warm and inviting, Eater notes.

DOWNTOWN: The former Robek's juice joint on Sixth near the Central Library is morphing into a Crepe X-Press this weekend. Does this transition from juice to crepes say something about our national sentiment?

VENICE: While the opening of a chocolate bar on Abbot Kinney gets the tiniest of mentions on Eater, we can barely contain our excitement. Chocovivo Chocolate Mini-Bar opens this weekend--see you there!

LOS ANGELES: Eater is throwing a Chinese Food Week, a celebration of the cuisine of China. Look for Peking Duck Power Hour, interviews with chefs, and non-Chinese chefs whipping up special, limited time only Chinese dishes.
