Updated 9:22 pm: Census data shows that more people are leaving California than are coming, and that the proportion of California transplants is at a 100 year low--the past decade is the first "in a century in which the majority of Californians were native-born," according to the LA Times. "The demographics of California today more closely resemble those of 1900 than of 1950: It is a mostly home-grown population whose future depends on the children of immigrants and their children?" High housing prices are probably at least partly to blame. [LAT]
