Yesterday, the City Council voted to look into sidewalk bike riding in the city. The LA Times reports: "The Council on Tuesday moved to update the municipal code regulating how cyclists can use sidewalks and interact with pedestrians. The motion calls for a special provision allowing bicycles on sidewalks in some circumstances." It also requested guidelines for prohibiting some sidewalk cycling. Right now, LA sidewalks are mostly open to bikes. [LAT, image via blogging.la]
