Yesterday, the West Hollywood City Council approved a Pacific Design Center plan to "to replace the existing single clear windows on the Green Building with a ribbon of 'vision glass' windows on each floor to match the windows on the adjacent Red Building currently under construction." From the Council File on the vote, the building's architect, Cesar Pelli, signed off on the proposed redesign of the building's windows as a "modern expression of my original concept for the Pacific Design Center campus." An earlier split vote by WeHo's Historic Preservation Commission sent the issue to City Council (the building was designated a cultural resource in 2003). For an idea of how the new windows will look, check the rapidly rising Red Building, which Curbed visited last month. [WeHo Patch]
