Studio City Getting Stout, Arch Ice Cream in Culver City, Upmarket Sandies on Grand, Sherbourne Opens Tonight

STUDIO CITY: SC is becoming quite the gastronomic scene, Eater reports. Stout is coming soon to the Ventura Blvd. scene--it's the second location for the burger/beer joint, which currently has an outpost on Cahuenga in Hollywood. No word on opening, but Spacecraft--the ubiquitous resto-designer--is working on the interior.

CULVER CITY: The Coolhaus Ice Cream Sandwiches Shop on Washington opens tonight at 6 pm (free ice cream was served from 6-7 pm--sorry about the late notice). Though the weather is perhaps better suited for hot chocolate, who can deny Coolhaus, especially since their sandwiches are themed after architectural people and things, e.g., Frank Behry and the $9 "Two Story" sandwich.

DOWNTOWN: Speaking of sandwiches, the Blue Cow Kitchen opens on Grand February 1. The place is described as a sandwich "think tank," with a rotating list of chefs curating high-minded hand food. Jason Trevi will be the first chef up; expect sausage concoctions from the Fraiche mastermind.

WEST HOLLYWOOD: Guy Starkman and Darren Dzienciol open Sherbourne tonight near Cedars-Sinai. The guys, behind The Beverly and Trousdale, have built a beauty of a restaurant; click here to see Elizabeth Daniels's pics. The menu is a bit of a mystery, but it may be worth risking it for the ambiance alone.
