Los Angeles has launched a new "virtual town hall" called LA/2B to get ideas for "how to create an updated street plan that is not car-centric," according to KPCC. The idea is to attract a younger crowd than the one that usually goes in for public fora, and so far "Though most of the respondents have been male, the majority fall in the 20 to 40 year-old bracket, a previously underrepresented group at public meetings." The site asks questions about favorite Los Angeles streets, getting around, the street that most represents participants, and more. The new Mobility Element street plan should be released in spring 2014. [SCPR]
