Westwood is the Priciest College "Town" in the US

New, 25 comments

Coldwell Banker Real Estate has released its 2011 College Home Listing Report and UCLA's own Westwood has come out on top. They're number one! They're number one! Well, sort of--the rankings are based on average listing prices (rather than sale prices) for three bedroom, two bathroom houses listed on coldwellbanker.com between Augusts 2010 and 2011. And they cover only schools in the Football Bowl Subdivision (there are 120 schools in the subdivision--the report ranks 117). For the purposes of the rankings, Westwood's average house price was $1.271428 million. USC's home of Los Angeles made the list at number four with an average price of $733,473.
