Here's a Map of How Fast the Buses Were Moving Last Thursday

LAist tips us off to this visualization by Eric Fischer, which uses NextBus data to show 24 hours of Metro bus speeds in Los Angeles--in this case, November 10, 2011. Black means average speeds of less than 7 mph, red is less than 19 mph, blue is less than 43 mph, and green is 43 mph and above. According to Fischer, "As far as I can tell, LA buses spend most of their time at a through speed (average including stops) of about 10 miles per hour."
