We reported yesterday that the Community Redevelopment Agency will consider minor variations Thursday to a 2002 redevelopment agreement with developer CIM Group for the firm's Midtown Crossing retail project in Mid-City. The original agreement set a maximum size of 100 square feet for on-site signage (advertising for stores in the project); the variations would allow signs up to 900 square feet. In April, the developer released renderings that look a lot different from what the CRA will review on Thursday (except for the elevations, interestingly enough). Here are renderings of what the project would look like with the larger signs.
