Sealmooritos? Los Rosseal? Start working on names, because a "long-awaited study" concludes that merging Seal Beach, unincorporated Rossmoor, and Los Alamitos could save about $2.7 million a year. The plan would work by mostly by reducing the number of top jobs--for instance, there'd only be five elected officials as opposed to the current 16. The new city would be about 19.1 square miles and have a population of about 46,000. And of course some people are already fighting it. [OCR, image via]
