Blogdowntown reports that Metro has scaled back station plans for its Regional Connector Downtown light rail project--both the Second/Hope and Second/Broadway stops will now have just one entrance each. The Second/Hope station's entrance will be at the top of Bunker Hill, "cutting off those who would access the station from the northern end of the Financial District." A Fifth/Flower stop was cut from the line last year. Update 6:05 pm: Metro confirms this is a cost-cutting measure, as the Little Tokyo station, which will be underground, is sucking up a lot of money. [blogdowntown, image via]
