Ad Nauseam: Outdated Signs in Glendale

New, 8 comments

Back in 1986, Glendale reduced the size allowed for signs on poles, down to six to eight feet with surface areas of 40 to 75 square feet. From 1986 until 2000, businessowners had a grace period, when they could change up what their signs said without changing up the signs to meet the new requirements. But there are still "about 60 businesses throughout Glendale — from fast food restaurants to hair salons — [that] currently can’t change what their large pole signs say unless they replace the large structures with smaller ones, which could cost thousands of dollars."
