Ever since Grauman's Chinese Theatre sold in May (to entrepreneur Elie Samaha and movie producers Don Kushner and Steve Markoff), rumors have flown about big changes at the historic site. Today the LA Times reports that the theater "is undergoing a renovation that will include a restaurant to serve gourmet food and a renovated lobby that will be used to host parties of up to 1,000 guests." And they're going to jackhammer up all the handprints--just seeing if you're paying attention! Seriously, though, the work is supposed to be finished next month. [LAT]
