The LA Times reports today that social media-using activists are speaking out against the ExplorOcean museum project that would spell the end for the Balboa Fun Zone in Newport Beach. Working to oppose the plans by the Newport Harbor Nautical Museum is James Pobog, who is bringing his message to Facebook groups with titles like "I grew up in Newport Beach BEFORE it was the OC" and "Balboa Village FUN Zone" and photoshopping images of the Fun Zone with catchphrases like "Save the Fun Zone, Stop the Museum Monstrosity."
