WeHo's Real Party Happened Two Nights Ago

New, 4 comments

For everyone heading to the traffic vortex--human, car, and otherwise--that is West Hollywood's Halloween Carnival, you should know that you're 48 hours too late for the real fiesta: Go-Go Dancer Appreciation Day (officially sanctioned by the city). Up and down Larrabee Street and at The Abbey watering hole, mostly naked men (and a few women) shook what God gave them on Saturday night. The event was covered by LA Weekly, which writes, "Only in WeHo will you find a scantily clad dancer outside a yogurt shop performing for families with kids in tow." Adding to the weirdness was West Hollywood mayor John Duran as one of three celebrity judges who picked the best gyrator (a dude named Andrew). [LA Weekly]
