Last month, Santa Monica put up signs all around its borders laying out its oversize vehicle restrictions, which prevent RVs and other big vehicles from parking overnight or on residential streets in the city. The Santa Monica Daily Press reports that the oversize vehicle ban has actually been in place for decades--after a recent influx of large vehicles, the city council simplified the restrictions and approved the new signs to make sure everyone coming into SaMo knows the rules. A rep for the Mar Vista Community Council is not pleased--that neighborhood and Venice have been battling RVs for years now. [SMDP]
