It's been twelve action-less years and six extensions now for the proposed James Hotel on the Sunset Strip (near San Vicente). Last week, the WeHo Planning Commission gave the project, which has been kicking around since 1999, its sixth construction extension--the hotel will pay a $1 million fee if it doesn't start work by October 2013 (it's already forfeited half a million for not meeting its fifth extension).
