That grand old Englishy pile in Pacific Palisades that we checked out the other day? Real Estalker reports that it belongs to legendary screenwriter Robert Towne, known for writing some of the best LA movies ever (Chinatown, Shampoo) and for script doctoring The Godfather and Bonnie and Clyde. He and his wife bought their house in 1987 for $2.495 million. They're now asking $14 million. [Real Estalker]
