Trump Sells RPV Golf Course House for $5 Million Below Asking

New, 24 comments

Donald Trump, the greatest real estate developer who's ever lived (source: Donald Trump), has sold the house he built for himself at his Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes. The 11,000 square foot house was finished in 2010, according to Redfin, and he listed it in June that year. At the time, he told the LA Times that "he splits his time in Los Angeles between his home in Beverly Hills and Rancho Palos Verdes, 'where the job is'," but the house was completely empty in its earliest appearance on the MLS. The house was designed by Luis de Moraes of Envirotechno Architecture and has five bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a library, a game room, a wine room, a four car garage, and an infinity pool. And we think the Donald may have written his own listing copy: "The kitchen is a chefs dream? The copper hood over the range is amazing? The master suite is gorgeous?Glass wine room for storing coveted wines is a work of art? This estate is opulent and rivaled by none." Asking price was $12 million. It just closed escrow at $7.15 million.
