Plans for West Hollywood's Plummer Park 2.0 are generating opposition--grievances were majorly aired at a community meeting on Tuesday, reports the WeHo News. As noted earlier, a community group is taking planners to task for tree removal, the destruction of Depression-era buildings, and a partial two-year closure. WeHo News says that people at the meeting spoke loudly and over each other, with seniors saying they'll have nothing to do when the park is closed (sad) and others arguing that new fountains will become "bathhouses for transients" (funny). The head of the opposition group is trying to stop construction, which is set to start around February, and she says she has the votes on the City Council to do it. [WeHo News]
