On Monday, Governor Brown signed a bill that allows Big Blue Buses to become giant, flashing, ever-changing digital billboards. If a five year pilot program is approved by the City Council, up to 25 buses will get 30 square foot digital signs on each side--the program is intended to offset price hikes. As Brentwood Patch points out, the BBBs don't stay in Santa Monica--they run into Westwood, Brentwood, Culver City, and Downtown. [Brentwood Patch, image via]
