The Valley Plaza mall in North Hollywood will finally stop looking so blighty soon--the Community Redevelopment Agency is sponsoring a facade-improvement program at the mostly-vacant site and some construction is already underway. Developer JH Snyder owned the Valley Plaza for more than a decade before it gave it up to lender iStar in April this year. City Councilmember Paul Krekorian says he's met with iStar several times now and he sounds optimistic that they'll have a plan for the site soon. [North Hollywood Patch]
