Signs, signs, signs, but no sign of what's allowed. A reader asks: "Dear Curbed LA: Do you know what the current rules are for those banners on the street light poles? Have they changed? I thought they were for non-profit community events. But banners all along Topanga Canyon Blvd are advertising NBC's Golden Globe Awards. Here are regulations I found online, but I don't know if they are current. Link here. Advertising by NBC for a television show for which NBC in turn sells advertising does not seem to meet the criteria of non-profit, charitable or civc events that benefit a nonprofit. Here is a link showing photos of the banners advertising the show. Thanks."
