Four-Bedroom Traditional in Echo Park

According to Redfin's data, in February 2000, this four-bedroom, two-bath house in Echo Park was purchased at auction by some enterprising soul for a mere $20,679. In March of 2000, an even more enterprising entity bought it for $82,000, then flipped it a few months later for $350,000. Eleven years on, the neighborhood has certainly come a long way, and, not surprisingly, so has this property's asking price--it's just been listed at $649,000. But in addition to its proximity to a plethora of hipster bars and restaurants, selling points of the century-old home (which, incidentally, looks like it's being photobombed by its light fixtures in several of the listing pix) include hardwood floors, a formal dining room, a sunroom, lots of built-in storage, downtown views, and a backyard with mature fruit trees.
